Macro Perspectives

Macro photography, conducted with a 1:1 magnification lens, allows me to notice details I’d otherwise overlook. By shifting my perspective and extending my attention beyond daily distractions, I’ve discovered the value of curiosity and observation.

 

When I combine this practice with the analog medium of film, the mindfulness element of the creation process increases. This awareness has not only inspired a creative process and the work that is a result of it, but it has led me to uncover new and interesting ways to deepen the appreciation I have for my environment, grow and expand as an individual, and share my findings and inspiration with others.
