ABOUT
A Quick Glimpse
Through film photography, I repeatedly find unexpected layers of creativity. When I venture out with my 35mm or medium format cameras, I shift my perspective in hopes of uncovering hidden details and finding beauty in unexpected places.

I am privileged to live on the California Coast, where I find bountiful opportunities for exploration. Whether I’m photographing landscapes, creating double exposures, or examining nature close up, I approach my environment with an open curiosity.
I have practiced film photography consistently since 2020. What I appreciate most about the analog medium is the intentionality it requires, which helps me to be more present and enriches my creative experience.

A Bigger Picture
My photography journey began at age five with a Polaroid 600 Impulse, a gift from my grandmother. Early subjects included the waterfalls and coastline of Big Sur, sparking a lifelong passion for landscape photography.
I explored various styles and cameras over the decades, from disposable cameras in the 90s to travel photography in my twenties.
I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Digital Media Art from San Jose State University, where I took several photography courses.
Though I dabbled in film photography early on, it was during the 2020 lockdown that my interest in film truly deepened. During this time, I experimented with multiple exposures, self-portraits, and shifted perspectives on 35mm film. My practice sprouted as a creative outlet during turbulent times, but it soon evolved into a fruitful passion.
Practicing film photography has since become a means to increase my presence, patience, and curiosity as I move through the world. I’ve found this approach leads me to notice details or uncover beauty I would have otherwise overlooked.
Through this journey, photography has become a spiritual practice, guiding me toward self-discovery and growth.
